Night-Partners, formed by Goncie and Subversive, appears in 2008 as a pioneer project in Portugal. Taking advantage of the mainstreaming of electronic music over the last decade, the team intend to create danceable rhythms with commercial character which are present in their debut single, entitled Latin Fever Theme. Subversive considers his brother responsible for his earlier contact with electronic music back in 1995 when Detroit Techno was his preferred style. Years later, through Jo‹o EusŽbio, a common friend, he is presented to Goncie. Since then, they crossed a long process of musical maturation discovering new styles, which Deep House constitutes the main reference. Subversive early feels attracted by musical production. On the other hand, Goncie dreams about a dance floor moving through his sound, which made him invest his free time on djing. Along the first years of work he improved his technique and defined his musical taste. While Goncie acts in clubs like Alc‰ntara Mar, Whispers, PopUp and Fashionhouse, Subversive, which meantime had developed a very special taste for electro style, produces his first tracks. Everybody, Be Right and The Joke marked the debut of the producer in Portuguese dance-scene. Alongside, in partnership with Miguel Massoul, he made another track entitled Ragga House. Some years later, strongly influenced by his friend, Goncie also discovers his passion for the musical production and begins re-mixing songs as Karma from the singer Alicia Keys and Mas Que Nada from the producer SŽrgio Mendes. In the beginning of 2008 Subversive and Goncie decided to meet in studio and created the present project. Diverging from their base styles, they decided to produce a new more commercial sonority, however, as they affirm, above any musical styles is their passion for music that make them work together. With the creation of this project and the release of their first single a new stage begins in the career of both artists.
